This winter Wade and I celebrated our 8 year wedding Anniversary! I feel like the luckiest girl alive to have married the man of my dreams. We celebrated in style, here are some pics from our travels,

I have been busier than usual the last couple months, so I apologize for my blog neglect!! Although busy, the last couple months have been fabulous! Wade and I spent the month of November traveling from California, to Miami, to the Caribbean! In December I launched my Winter Clothing Collection which was so much fun, I was also hired at our Boise Anthropologie as their Merchandiser, a job that I started the beginning of January!! I love my new career there and I get to work with absolutely fabulous people. I have been also working on my Spring Clothing Collection and am getting ready to launch the new pieces in the middle of March. This year has been so exciting and I feel so blessed with the opportunities that have unfolded thus far.

Working the Work Space

For the amount of time I spend sewing, I have to love the room, it has to feel like a space that I am able to relax in as well as be productive in. Here are some images from my sewing room,

For my office space, I need to eliminate clutter and distractions so that I can focus, thus I created a really simple black and white space. . .

Create a space that you enjoy working in. Surround yourself with things that inspire you and relate to what you are going to be working on. Whether this means images from magazines or books, color swatches, fabric samples, trims, or tangible items; incorporate these pieces into your decor. Organization is also key. I have incorporated a lot of vintage finds as unconventional organizational pieces that help me sort through my threads, trims, and fabrics. Use your space to speak of your own personal taste as a designer. The more comfortable you are in your space, the more relaxed you will feel as you forge ahead on your creations.

One amazing and versatile item to keep in your closet this fall season is wide legged jeans. This Fall must have is great with boots, wedges, and the amazing shoes at the end of this post!!! Keep scrolling!!

And of course shoes! These amazing shoes have that vintage but modern look that I love so much. These shoes would look fabulous with tights and Fall mini dress.

Extending your Summer Wardrobe

I picked Lindsey up from the airport yesterday, she had been in the fabulous State of Nebraska. Here are some pics she took in Omaha. She said that she loved the historical downtown, and boasted of fantastic food, boutiques, and gorgeous buildings to set the scene.
I have been filling my days with sewing and working on the vintage site. I was hoping to have it up and running by the weekend, however, I think I was too ambitious!!! I have about 16 pieces posted right now, my favorite vintage Lanvin Maxi Dress sold to a fashionista in the UK which I am really excited about- it is an amazing dress and will be loved and worn in perfect style:)

We launched the Fall clothing collection line here on Labor Day which was a fantastic event- so much fun!! Since The White Pine Boutique has continued to carry my designs for clothing and jewelry which has been such a fabulous collaboration. I have been hanging out at the store today, I played dress ups with some of my pieces and was tempted to buy back this skirt from my collection- I absolutely love this vintage print!!!

Todays Favorite Corners in My House

Here are some photos of my favorite corners in my home right now. I feel like I redecorate my house on a weekly basis, I have been really excited about contrasting color on dark gray, blacks, and natural wood backgrounds. I love mixing soft natural tones with crisp white and splashes of bright accents. I also love having comfortable seating areas in every room of my house. I feel that it is important to make a home comfortable and inviting as well as a chic expression of who you are.

My Patio Furniture Project

This was one of my summer projects last year. I took my old vintage couches, gutted them, and rebuilt them into my patio furniture. It is so great to be able to continue enjoying them even though they no longer worked with my inside decor. I loved them too much to part with them- thus this was my solution
